MIDSUMMER GARDEN

MIDSUMMER GARDEN

This spring-summer capsule draws inspiration from the bright playfulness of midsummer time and the graphical construction of 1920s art deco. The sunrises and sunsets, the adventures of being outdoors and the silent happiness of returning home are nuances of a midsummer soiree, shown in the yellows and reds punctuated with dusky undertones.

The hand silk screen-printed prints are born out of memories of summer time, from botanical gardens to pressed flowers from letters written in summer break, the fragile tenderness of wild flowers to watching birds return home.
Easy breezy wild and tender.

The prints were developed during my work experience with designer Sanchita Ajjampur for her brand Sanchita.
Designed under Sanchita Ajjampur’s guidance for Talking Cloth Pvt. Ltd. SS23 shown at Apropo Studio, New York
